ME
My real name is Mogens Møller and I’m from Denmark. Right now I live in Holstebro in the western part of Denmark, and I work as a media graphic designer for the advertising company »MCB«. When not working at MCB I run my own web bureau - mmk webdesign - where I design websites for schools and companies. In my spare time I make music. I play bass and keys in the indietronica rock band ANAMIA, and then, of course, I create my own music under the alias: tWAMi. I have created my own music since 2002, where I bought my first synthesizer. It was right after a very special concert in Aalborg with Jean Michel Jarre – Aero! I found the music, this man could create from these machines, so cool, I decided to try making similar music on my own.

From an early age I listened to the music, my three older brothers played on their stereos. Stuff like JMJ, Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Aha, Depeche Mode etc. I remember standing I front of my parents’ TV watching my brothers’ VHS tapes with Jean Michel Jarre concerts. I was trying to perform like JMJ with my little toy keyboard, and I rocked on for hours (pic1). I’ve grown up with this music and I can’t deny the huge influence it has had on my own music. As I grew older, I started finding artists that moved me myself. More about my influences here.

I’ve been playing drums since the age of 6 (pic2). A friend of mine played me these old Metallica tapes, and this music was completely different from what I’d ever heard. I was blown away by it, even though it generally was too noisy for my taste. The fact that the drummer was (and still is) Danish amazed me and got me into playing the drums.
Later on I turned to the guitar, bass and piano as well.

Over the last 4 years I have continuously invested in new synthesizers, instruments, computers, software etc. that one and all improve my overall soundscape.
